Horus Heresy 30k Adeptus Custodes #1

The Burning of Prospero box also released some of the most awaited miniatures, with the Adeptus Custodes. Here is how my efforts have progressed, so far.

I opted for Guardian Spears on my Custodes and  I am still very far from finishing.

Now to get this gold, I followed a similar recipe to what I previously used for the Sisters of Silence.

1. Primer - Stynylres Black Primer coat
2. Base - Spray VGA Brassy Brass directly from below the miniature
3. Base - Spray VGC Steel as a zenithal layer from above
4. Layer - Highlight from below with VGA Bright Bronze 
5. Layer - Highlight with VGA Polished Gold from above, like a zenithal highlight. 
6. Shade - Shade with the new Agrax Earthshade Gloss.
7. Highlight - Finally come back in and edge highlight with VGC Gold and VGC Metal Medium 50/50 mix.

I am still working through how I want the spear to look, as these guys are pretty much just a single color. I need something to offset this, purples and blues. And I'll need to come up with some type of some type of basing scheme for them too.
